Wotcher coj!
[Hi Jules !]
Had a quick perusal of yer wibble tonight and decided wot yer 'Sheddies Desktops' page needed was some Mac pix to redress the Winders imbalance... So, here they are. Pre-sized (larger ones can be sent) and ready for insertion (oo-er).
First up (the bluish one) is my old-style (i.e. pre-OSX) desktop wot is nice but unspectacular.
Then we have the plain, vanilla (almost) OSX desktop wot is already looking rather sexy (IMSWO). And finally, with a flourish, I've populated the desktop with open apps which are (back-to-front, l-r) iTunes (wot copies bits of CD), terminal.app (cuz OSX is really a prettified Unix), Help (cuz I disunforgot how to grab the screen, a system clean-up utility and, finally, the Finder (wot you'd call "Windows Explorer"). Oh and there's the
bog-standard dock on the rhs anna better (Next-influenced) one at the blhs.
Oh and all the pix are supplied wiv the system. Nice, isn't they?
I reckon the OSX desktop is the sexiest thing to hit computers since, ummm, dunno really. But then I'm possibly a bit weird...
See ya! Jules.

Evenin', coj ,Would you like a picture of my desktop? Thought not... But look, here's a picture that I put _on_ my desktop from time to time. The Antipodean avian depicted therein joined TCWWLAM and I for an al fresco luncheon in the Dorrigo National Park, New South Wales.  Friendly chap -- brought a few other guests with him, too (several currawongs and a satin bowerbird), but their pictures seem to have fallen down the back of the sofa.

Cheers Vicki PS

And here it is!

[Jon T] Hiya Coj,I finished all me procrastinatin' earlie so I thort I'd re-send me desktop.
It's a picture I molished in POV-Ray for Winders of some red billiard balls floating above a misty lake wiv an angry sky in the background. No, I don't know what they're doing there either.TTFN.

[coj writes] My desktop is hfrually a nastronomy picture from APOD (above), but sometimes I have this Steven Appleby cartoon from the Grauniad (below). Can you read what it says, buoys and gulls ?
[ (Bob writes ]

Wotcher, coj.
Here are some snaps of my desktops.
This is Chico - wiv a picture of a lemur wot I took at Monkey World in
Dorset...

This is Groucho - wiv an enormouse dormouse from a wildlife magazine...
This is Harpo as it was until a few days ago, wiv a nice restful picture of some ferns and stuff wot I took at Beaulieu Abbey...
...and this is the current Harpo desktop with an orang-utan pinched from the front cover of Nude Scientits (or was it Reader's Wives?). I find this rather intimidating 'cos I keep thimking I'm looking at a mirror...

 Tiddly-pom.

[Wonk] Would there be any interest in a Sheddi desktop feature ?
[coj] I fimk so
[wonk] I attach mine anyway.
I sometimes open this file and expand it to fill the screen. When the management comes along later to use the Pc she goes ape when she clicks the *icons and nothing happens.
